Anxiety therapy in my practice is not about “fixing” you or eliminating anxiety entirely. Anxiety is a natural response — your nervous system’s attempt to protect you. When it becomes overwhelming, persistent, or begins to limit your life, therapy can help you understand it, regulate it, and build a healthier relationship with it.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I view anxiety through the lens of safety. Many anxious patterns develop from earlier experiences where the nervous system learned to stay on high alert. Overthinking, perfectionism, hypervigilance, and avoidance are not personal failures — they are adaptations that once served a purpose. In therapy, we acknowledge how these patterns helped you survive while also learning new ways to respond.
I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with body-based approaches that support nervous system regulation. Anxiety doesn’t live only in our thoughts — it also shows up in the body through shallow breathing, muscle tension, digestive discomfort, and a racing heart. Drawing from my experience as an advanced yoga teacher, I incorporate breathwork, grounding practices, and somatic awareness so we work with anxiety both mentally and physically.
Our work together is collaborative and active. We identify thought patterns that fuel anxiety, challenge beliefs that keep you stuck, and gradually build the ability to face fears with greater confidence and stability.
Over time, many clients experience fewer anxious spirals, improved emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of internal steadiness. Anxiety becomes something you can understand and navigate — rather than something that controls your life.
